58-year-old victim identified as PCINSP Fernando Reyes y Recto, a resident currently staying at Purok, Brgy. Concepcion Lubao, Pampanga was shot numerous times by an unidentified group of male suspects leading to his instantaneous death, while another innocent driver identified as Armand Reyes, a 47-year-old driver who was coincidently around the area was also shot by an unknown caliber of a firearm resulting in his urgent need of medical attention. The incident took place along JASA Road, Brgy. Conception, Lubao, Pampanga at about 11:50 AM, June 1, 2021.
Citing the report of Pampanga PTOC, the initial investigation conducted showed that the victim was driving his motorcycle along the JASA Road when a group of men on board with two (2) motorcycles and one (1) gray van with still unknown plate number suddenly appeared and shot the victim several times resulting to his death. Meanwhile, during the incident, another victim who was onboard with an Isuzu truck wing van was also hit by an unknown firearm that was immediately brought to ERD Hospital due to his urgent need for medical attention.
The Police Station tasked with the incident is currently requesting the immediate assistance of SOCO and conduct a follow-up, together with a hot pursuit operation for possible identification of the suspects' recognized spot report to follow.
